Wow, the kids are back in school & summer is fast coming to an end. It does not seem possible that time has gone that quickly. Life continues on, and with that are the problems that life brings. You do have problems or giants that you are facing, don't you?
The story of David and Goliath in 1st Sam 17: 1-54 is a classic. "For who is this uncircumcised philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God"? [1st Sam 17:26] Problems are giants. They intimidate us and cause us to freeze up in fear. Both the army and David saw the same enemy, but they reacted in opposite ways. The army shrank in fear, David took the offensive.
Second David declined human help & protection that did not fit. His brothers tried to discourage him!!
Third, to the army, Goliath looked too big to defeat. To David, Goliath looked too big to miss!!
Always look at life's problems and challenges from Gods perspective rather than your own. Ask God to help you face your challenges in life to prepare you for the bigger ones, and thank God that He sees the big picture.
